Swingsation 2012

Swingsation is only two weeks away, and unfortunately, weekend passes for Swingsation 2012 have SOLD OUT!!

The good news is you can still purchase social passes to the Friday and Saturday night dance parties (on the 18th and 19th of May).These dance parties are awesome nights of WCS with performances by some of the best dancers in America and Australia. There are also competitions and heaps of social dancing.

Swingtimate 2012

We are so excited to be bringing US WCS Champions and all round superstars, Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake back out to Australia in December. Swingtimate is an event you don’t want to miss out on!

This weekend is going to be incredible!! This is your chance to get up close and personal with these two champion West Coast Swing dancers. Relax and mingle with Kyle & Sarah during the Friday night dinner dance with live music and then be inspired by this incredible couple as you learn from them and watch them dance throughout the rest of the weekend.

Swingtimtate is designed to be an Intimate Weekend of WCS and is therefore limited to the first 50 girls and 50 guys to register and pay. Held over the weekend of the 7th - 9th of December 2012, the weekend will include:

  • - US West Coast Swing Champions Kyle Redd and Sarah Vann Drake
  • - 8 hours of WCS Workshops with Kyle & Sarah
  • - Friday Night Dinner Dance including meal and live music
  • - Saturday Night Dance Party until 2am
  • - Jack & Jill Competition - Novice and Open categories 
  • - Performances by Kyle & Sarah including their 2012 Classic Routine.
  • - Limited private lessons available on request

WCS Dance Party

Our last couple of Dance Parties were HUGE!!!

Join us for an fun night of West Coast Swing dancing. Starting the night with a 1 hour beginner workshop (free for anyone who has not done WCS before) and a 1 hour intermediate workshop and continuing with social dancing through to 11:30pm.

So bring all your friends and family and join us for some WCS fun!!!

Cost: $15.00 or FREE if you are a First Timer or from Interstate – so make sure you bring all your friends and family who want to know what WCS is all about!!

Time: 7:30pm – 11:30pm
Where: Greenslopes Bowls Club, 131 Ridge Street, Greenslopes

Our next Dance Party will be held on Saturday the 28th of July at the Broadbeach Bowls Club.

 

New West Coast Swing Public Routine

If you enjoyed our previous routines or want to learn your first WCS routine, you don't want to miss this opportunity!

Choreographed by US Champions Ben Morris and Jennifer De Luca to WILL.I.AM's hit "T.H.E - The Hardest End", this routine is fun, funky and packed with cool patterns and amazing styling.

This routine will be taught over one weekend only so find yourself a partner and sign up NOW!

Where: Sat – Bellevue Park State School, Sapium Dr, Ashmore
                Sun – Abrakidazzel, 48/3 Jackman St, Southport
Times: Saturday 10am-12pm, 1pm-3pm & 4pm-6pm
               Sunday 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm
Cost: $130 per person to be paid by 12 July 2012.
            Price includes a copy of the routine DVD

Raw Connection West Coast Swing Shoes

Raw Connection now has it’s very own ladies WCS dance shoe!! To celebrate, we are reducing the price of our shoes to the bargain price of $70.00 per pair. The shoes have a low, wide heal making them ideal for WCS and they come in black and tan. Check out our website for more details.

 

Private Lessons

Private lessons are an awesome way to get direct feedback on your dancing and improve your WCS. We have some awesome teachers at Raw Connection that are available to teach Private lessons at the cost of $70 per hour for 1 teacher and up to 2 students.

We also have an awesome Private Package deal that gets you 5 hours of private lessons and 3 group classes for the discounted rate of $300. That works out to be $60 an hour for the privates and free group classes!!

Pre-Class Freestyle

The pre-class social dancing from 7.00pm - 7.30pm has been going great! If you are interested in DJing a half hour slot, please contact Allan to organise a time for you.
