Australia’s Biggest West Coast Swing Dance Classes

At Raw Connection we’ve created a space where people can express themselves through dance and music, connect with others and foster new friendships. Our goal is to build a positive, fun environment that encourages personal growth and community values.

What is West Coast Swing?

West Coast Swing is a fun, partner style of dance! Although it originated from Lindy Hop during the 1940’s in the USA, it can be danced to almost any genre of music and has evolved to become one of the most versatile, expressive and social dance styles around the world!

It has become an urban style of partner dancing that is ever evolving and has no limits when it comes to progression and you can have fun no matter what level you are – even if you have 2 left feet! This style is hard to define, but so easy to love.

What Should I Bring To Class?

Firstly, welcome! We’d love to see you with an open mind, a sense of fun and a willingness to learn. All you need is a pair of comfy shoes – preferably without a rubber sole – and clothes you can freely move in.

You can come solo, with a partner or a group of friends. Our group classes are very social and a great way to connect with new people, get moving and gain a new skill. Remember, the hardest part about learning how to dance is taking the first step and showing up at a class.
